Hey there, I’m Tom O’Brien. I’m a carpenter, journalist, and community advocate. And I’m running for Mayor of New Milford, CT.
This campaign is about the quality of life for everyone in our town. For some, that’s preserving their quality of life--making sure that they can afford to live and retire here. For others, that’s improving their quality of life—enhancing their children’s educational opportunities, investing in our infrastructure, attracting business and good-paying jobs to this beautiful town.
“I have the track record of making quality of life improvements for all New Milford Residents.”
My wife Cece and I have lived in New Milford since 1999. My son is a graduate of our Public Schools. I currently serve the town as the Chair of its Bike and Trail Committee, and its representative on the Board of Directors for HART Transit. I previously served on the Zoning Commission. My local non-profit commitments include long-time service on the boards of the Trust for Historic Preservation and the New Milford River Trail Association.
I am dedicated to my community, and the families of our great town.
